Applications for the 2008 King William Fair are closed. Please check back in the fall for information on participating in the 2009 King William Fair. Welcoming Notes:Thank you for your interest in bringing fun and excitement to the King William Fair and its exciting outdoor stages! Fees:Unlike other areas of the Fair, there is no processing fee to apply to become one of our entertainers. Please note that while we can pay you a small stipend for performing, depending on act and size of group, the Fair’s budget is limited. This event is dedicated to raising funds for arts, education, and community improvements. This opportunity is about fun and exposure. Entry Criteria:We have a limited number of stages and performance times and may focus certain types of entertainment at certain venues. For example, the stage located at the Upper Mill Park serves the Kid’s Kingdom, and we are looking for acts that will be especially suited for children. We are looking for local talent and are open to a wide variety of performances. Include with your completed application form a signed Waiver of Responsibility for each member of your group, a sample recording or dance group description, a group photograph, and a business-size, self-addressed stamped envelope. Please note we cannot return your samples and photographs. If you are selected, we will send you a contract with your designated stage location and performance time. If you need to unload equipment, we will also send you an unloading pass. Parking is limited, however, and these unloading passes may NOT be used for all-day parking. Deadlines:March 5, 2008: Applications are due. April 2, 2008: Signed contracts are due. April 26, 2008: King William Fair Day NO RAIN DATES. The King William Fair goes on rain or shine. It is a one-day event. The Fair is not responsible for goods damages due to inclement weather.
